Zwiebel Center creates plastic surgery environment with a different feel

For Dr. Paul Zwiebel, innovation in medical care goes beyond the latest cosmetic surgery techniques, perfected during more than 30 years of caring for patients.

To build the Zwiebel Center for Plastic Surgery & Skin Care in Highlands Ranch, Zwiebel had to think differently about location, staff, an expanded menu of services, and an office that looks more like a luxury retreat than a clinic.

“We chose to create an environment of hospitality,” he says. “Ultimately, it’s reflected in our attitude and approach as well.”

About 20 years ago, Zwiebel was among the first physicians in the U.S. to create a medical spa environment, integrating skin care and massage therapy into his cosmetic surgery practice. Similarly, when looking for new office space three years ago, Zwiebel decided to locate in a retail center at County Line and University, instead of a medical office building.

“People tell us that we have created an environment that feels accessible,” he says. The dedicated surgical suite at Zwiebel Center for Plastic Surgery ensures privacy and safety for patients, and added services such as lymphatic massage boost healing.

Making it easy to walk in and ask questions change people’s perception of cosmetic procedures from “something elite, only for the extremely wealthy” into “life-changing surgery that helps people with their self-image.”

Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Zwiebel is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, completed surgical residencies at the University of California and the University of Pittsburgh and cranio-facial fellowships at UCLA and in Paris. He serves the community at the Doctors Care Program for Indigent Healthcare at Swedish Medical Center, and has traveled on reconstructive surgical mission trips to South America, Africa and Asia.
